Axe Throwing
How long is an axe throwing session?
Sessions are 60 minutes and include a health and safety briefing.
When Should I arrive?
We suggest all participants arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your session to ensure everything runs smoothly, this includes all waivers being signed.
Can I spectate?
Anyone can come and watch a session! Anyone under the age of 16 we do request to be accompanied by an adult.
What do I throw?
Typically you throw our house axe blades – The Hatchets!
What age do I need to be to play?
You must be 8 years old or over. We ask anyone under the age of 16 years old to be accompanied by an adult and all waivers to be signed ahead of your session.
Is it safe?
Whilst there is always some risk to everything, our dedicated Axperts will do everything possible to ensure your sessions are as safe as possible.
Every session is supervised by our professional Axperts and will only permit personnel on the range who have received a comprehensive safety brief prior to their session commencing.
Do I have to book?
It is advisable to book online to guarantee you will get a chance to play.
How do I book?
All bookings can be made online via our website booking page.
What payment method do you accept?
For all online purchases we accept cards and for any onsite we welcome cash or card.
Bar
Do I have to book to visit the bar?
No, we are a bar first and foremost, you can visit our site for a leisurely drink and enjoy the host of activities as an added bonus!
What does the bar offer?
The bar offers an eclectic mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks – from our inhouse cocktail menu, array of craft beers, fine wines and champagnes to alcohol free ales and soft drinks.
Furthermore, we have a range of board games and retro games consoles for you to play whilst enjoying your beverage of choice.
To top this you can even step next door to our axe throwing space and try your hand at one of the quarterly games or dance your heart out to one of the live bands or DJ sets we host most weekends.
Is there seating at the bar?
Yes, you can absolutely sit down.
We provide a mix of comfortable low and high chairs, plus high stools dependent on where you choose to sit in the venue.
In the summer months we open up our doors to our back space where you can sit on a handmade wooden bench to enjoy some of the south quay rays.
Live Events
How do I keep up to date with all the Live Events?
Visit our dedicated Live Events page which provides a month by month breakdown of our upcoming free and ticketed events and/or visit our social media pages (Instagram or Facebook) where we provide a monthly line up.
How do I book tickets?
Online via our Live Events page.
What is the capacity for each event?
150 people.
How many tickets can I book at once?
We have a capacity of 150 attendees per event and we ask all those booking to be fair to others and only book 10 tickets per purchase.
Will there be security on site?
For every ticketed event, yes, we typically have 2 security staff on hand to ensure the event runs smoothly with no issues.
Is there somewhere for my belongings?
Whilst we do everything to accommodate our customers with a safe environment we do ask you to keep your belongings with you at all times. We provide hangers on entrance to the building and just outside the bar space should you wish to hang an outer garment.
NB: no liability will be held to the venue for lost items.
Private Events
How much is it to privately hire the venue?
We tailor each private booking to the individual so we will make arrangements with you via email, phone or face-to-face to ensure all your needs are met.

Can I bring my own alcohol for the event?
We have an onsite bar which provides an array of drinks to suit all of your guests so there is no need to outsource drinks for your event/party.
Is there catering?
Absolutely! Whilst we don’t have an onsite kitchen we source the best catering options for your event from the local restaurants the Island has to offer.
What else can be included in a private hire?
It is completely down to you and your budget – we can make your event as bespoke as you like!
We can offer additional: live music, DJ sets, board games, retro games consoles, axe throwing leagues, and/or cocktail making classes all in addition to catering, the bar and the site.
The Venue
Where is the venue?
We’re based on the South Quay, in Douglas. For directions please head to our Contact Us page.
How many levels is the venue?
Our entire venue is based on ground level with two entrances; the main entrance that directly leads into the axe throwing and live event space and the side entrance that leads to our bar and outside decking.
Are you wheelchair and pram friendly?
Yes we are! As we are based on street level we have wheelchair and pram access at both entrances. In addition, we also have a wheelchair friendly toilet.
Are there any competitive events I can get involved in?
Every axe throwing session is definitely defined as competitive, however, we are still in the process of creating an axe throwing league. Watch this space and keep checking out our social media platforms (Instagram or Facebook) for updates.
Gift Vouchers
Do I need to book to use my gift voucher?
Yes, all gift vouchers are redeemable online and can be used to book either a live event or for axe throwing sessions.
How much can I put on a voucher?
As much as you like! Go on, treat yourself or someone you really like!
How long is my voucher valid?
All gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
